Felipe Anderson to Real Madrid?

Real Madrid have struggled all season, and will look to raid the Premier League for West Ham star Felipe Anderson.

Real Madrid have faced a number of set backs this season, falling behind to Barcelona in La Liga and being kicked out of the Champions League by Ajax. This poor form has seen managers Julen Lopetegui and Santiago Scolari leave their posts in charge of the Galácticos. Madrid have now reappointed Zinedine Zindane as manager, only eight months after he left.

The Spanish giants will be chasing stars from all over the world in order to reach their previous heights of success. One name that has been repeatedly linked to Madrid is Chelsea star Eden Hazard. The Belgian winger however, seems to be stuck in West London due to Chelsea’s transfer ban. This ban will make it very difficult for Chelsea to let Hazard leave as they will not be able to replace him.

Step forward Felipe Anderson. The brazilian has been a hit in East London since his £37.5 million transfer from Lazio in the summer. Anderson has scored nine goals and assisted a further four for the Hammers this season. This form has endeared him to the West Ham faithful who have likened him to Dimitri Payet as a skilful winger capable of that bit of magic.

Anderson however, is much more than an attacking player. The Brazilian’s defensive stats are just as impressive, he has made 73 tackles, 32 interceptions and 10 clearances for the Hammers in the league this season. This illustrates how important he is to West Ham and that he will be a very difficult player to replace. This is even more evident with the imminent departure of Austrian striker, Marko Arnautovic. Therefore if West Ham were to sell their star player they will want an enormous fee for their record signing.

The rumoured fee of around £70 million might be enough to convince West Ham to cash in on the 25-year-old playmaker. This fee would give West Ham an instant profit of around £30 million to reinvest into the club and playing staff.

Could Anderson be tempted by the money at Madrid?

Anderson would be signed as a replacement for Gareth Bale who appears to have run out of time in Madrid. Therefore, Anderson will be used as part of a front three. The Brazilian is comfortable across the park and could be a useful utility player for Madrid for the next six years.

Could Felipe Anderson become the next Galáctico?
