Nottingham Forest ‘Player of the Year’ could be on his way out from the Championship side.
Joe Lolley has been in impressive form this season, scoring twelve goals and assisting eleven. This form has seen some Premier League clubs take notice in the 26-year-old. Watford and Crystal Palace have been linked with signing the former Huddersfield player.
Watford have been the most strongly linked. In January rumours circulated that the Hornets were willing to pay £5 million for Lolley, five times the amount Forest paid for him. The talented midfielder now would command a much bigger fee.
Forest however, have no desire to sell the Birmingham born player. Especially as Lolley has recently signed a new four-and-a-half-year deal in January.
Martin O’Neil has been looking to strengthening his team, rather than weakening it. The Forest manager has been rumoured to be interested in bring Sam Byram back to the City Ground.
Byram was on loan from West Ham United last season. Sadly his season was disrupted by injury, however O’Neil wants to give the 25-year-old another chance in the Midlands.
Forest have also been reported to be looking at Senegalese forward Sada Thioub. The 23-year-old scored three goals and assisted four in the french second division last
Thioub could be an important signing for Forest as his is a bit of a utility player. He is able to play as a sole striker, winger or in part of the midfield.
